J. Randal Greaves is a business owner who acquires control equity positions in companies through transactions identified, negotiated, financed and closed through his individual efforts, which are typically provided to other investment principals by independent investment banking firms. He takes an active role in the management of the companies acquired through the Board of Directors.
In the past twelve years since moving to Knoxville, Tennessee, Mr. Greaves has acquired three large companies in separate transactions from publicly held, multi-national corporations and built a successful solid waste company and a soil mining and processing company from start-up business plans. The Greaves family also has interests in oil & gas producing properties, real estate and cattle ranching, all in the state of Texas.
Mr. Greaves serves on the Board of Commissioners of the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority as well as the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Tennessee Valley and the Baptist Hospital Health Foundation.
Prior to 1995, Mr. Greaves served as the Chief Financial Officer for two of the wealthiest individuals in America. For five years, Mr. Greaves identified, negotiated and financed more unsolicited tender offers for public Fortune 500 companies than anyone in the financial markets. Mr. Greaves completed over fifty transactions aggregating over 12 billion dollars for these two individuals.
Mr. Greaves has resided in Knoxville, Tennessee with his family since 1995. The Greaves family appreciates the natural beauty of East Tennessee and enjoys the quality of life offered in Knoxville. They are members of Sevier Heights Baptist Church.
